2. Fees for Membership Plans and Events
The Fee for a Membership Plan or an Event is not fixed by this Policy, since registration fees vary from Membership Plan to Membership Plan and from Event to Event depending on duration, format, venue and any third party costs involved. The applicable Fee, and any billing cycle for a Membership Plan, is published on the Platform for that specific Membership Plan or Event at the time of registration and, once published, forms part of this Policy by reference for that Membership Plan or Event alone.
The Company may revise the Fee for future billing cycles of a Membership Plan by giving notice on the Platform; a revision does not affect a cycle already paid for. A published Event fee, once paid, is not revised for that Event.
03
3. Payment Methods
Fees are collected through the Verge app or website using the designated payment gateway, via UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking etc. The Company does not accept cash payments for Fees. Payment card and bank details are handled entirely by the gateway, as described in Clause 3.3 of the Privacy Policy.
Important:Cash payments are strictly not accepted for Fees. All transactions must be completed electronically via the designated payment gateway.
04
4. Role of the Payment Gateway
The Company collects Fees only through the licensed payment gateway as designated by them. That gateway, and not the Company, is the entity that holds and processes card, UPI and bank account details. The Company is a facilitator of payment collection and is not a bank or financial institution; it does not act as trustee over, and assumes no liability for, delay or failure of a transaction caused by the gateway, the Member's bank or card issuer, or lack of authorisation for a transaction. A Member's use of the gateway is additionally governed by the gateway's own terms.
05
5. Taxes
All Fees are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax and any other applicable statutory levy, which is added at the prevailing rate at the time of payment and reflected on the invoice generated through the Platform.
06
6. Billing Cycle and Auto Renewal
This Clause applies only to a Membership Plan. A Monthly, Quarterly or Annual Membership Plan renews automatically at the end of its then current term at the prevailing Fee, charged to the payment method on record. A reminder is sent through the Platform 3 (three) days before renewal. Auto renewal may be turned off at any time from the Platform or by written notice under Clause 7, effective from the following billing cycle.
Event Fees: An Event fee is a one time payment for that specific Event and does not auto renew.
07
7. Cancellation by a Member
A Member may cancel a Membership Plan, or withdraw from a registered Event, at any time by written notice to the Company or through the Platform. Cancelling a Membership Plan stops future billing from the next cycle. Neither act by itself entitles the Member to a refund; refund entitlement is governed by Clause 9.
08
8. Cancellation or Suspension by the Company
Where the Company suspends or terminates a Membership Plan, or withdraws a Member's Event registration, under Clause 9.1 of the Terms and Conditions for the Member's breach, no refund is due for the period served or the Event fee paid.
Where the Company discontinues a Membership Plan or a location, or cancels or materially reschedules an Event, for a reason not attributable to the Member, Clause 9 applies.
09
9. Refunds
9.1 Membership Plan
Cancellation before attending any session in the current cycle qualifies for a refund of that cycle's Fee, less any administrative charge stated on the Platform; cancellation after attending one or more sessions in the cycle qualifies for a prorated refund of the unused portion only, less any administrative charge stated on the Platform.
9.2 Event
The refund window, any cancellation charge, and the cutoff date after which no refund is available (if any) will be specified in the registration terms published on the Platform for that Event at the time of registration, since these vary with the nature, size and third party costs of each Event. Those published terms are binding on a Member who registers for that Event and are read as part of this Policy for that Event alone.
9.3 Force Majeure & Company Rescheduling
Where the Company cancels or materially reschedules a session or an Event under Clause 12 of the Terms and Conditions (force majeure) or for a reason not attributable to the Member, the Member is entitled to a credit of equivalent value toward a future session or Event, or a refund if no suitable alternative is offered within 30 (thirty) days.
9.4 Member Breach
No refund is due where a Membership Plan or an Event registration is suspended or terminated for the Member's breach under Clause 9.1 of the Terms and Conditions.
Refund Processing Timeline:Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 (fourteen) working days.
10
10. Failed or Late Payment
This Clause applies to a Membership Plan. If a renewal payment fails, the Company will attempt to charge the payment method on record up to 2 (two) further times over 5 (five) days. If payment continues to fail, the Membership Plan is suspended without further notice until Fees are paid in full; no session missed during suspension is credited.
An Event registration for which payment fails or is not completed is not confirmed and does not entitle the Member to participate in that Event.
11
11. Disputes and Chargebacks
A Member who disputes a charge should first raise it with the Grievance Officer at Clause 12 before initiating a chargeback with their bank or card issuer. The Company will investigate and respond within the timelines at Clause 12. Raising an unauthorised chargeback while a Membership Plan remains active, or before an Event has taken place, may lead to suspension of the Membership Plan or the Event registration pending resolution.
12
12. Grievance Officer
The Company has designated the following Grievance Officer under Section 5 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 read with Rule 5(9) of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and in anticipation of the corresponding obligations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as they come into force:

13
13. Changes to this Policy
The Company may revise this Policy prospectively by posting an updated version on the Platform with a new date, subject to the notice period in Clause 2 for a change to a Membership Plan's Fee. A revision to this Policy does not alter the fee or refund terms already published for a specific Membership Plan cycle or Event at the time of a Member's registration for it.
